Plane was a Bristol Beaufighter TF Mk. X RD141 of the 455 Sqd. RAAF. The plane crashed into the sea after an attack on Haramso Is. It is believed the plane was hit with the port engine on fire as it dived into the water N.E side of Harmansoy. P/Off A. E Winter and Navigator C.J Dunshea were both killed.
