Pilot Officer Allan Graham Fairfax 412502 was killed when B17 Flying Fortress 41-2536 from Number 65 Squadron of the USAAF 43rd Bombardment Group was lost at sea 60 miles off Lae, New Guinea - his body was not recovered and he is commemorated on the Lae Memorial

His death is mentioned in the book “Tocumwal to Tarakan” by Michael V. Nelmes
