Leslie Herbert Ephraim FAIRHEAD was born in Beverley, Western Australia on 5th May, 1923

His parents were Leslie Henry FAIRHEAD & Ida BAKER - he was their only child

He first joined the Army on 1st April, 1942 and was discharged on 2nd March, 1943 & then joined the RAAF on 6th March, 1943

He died in a Flying Battle in France on 4th December, 1944 and is buried in the Choloy War Cemetery in France
