Leslie Herbert Ephraim FAIRHEAD was born in Beverley, Western Australia on 5th May, 1923
His parents were Leslie Henry FAIRHEAD & Ida BAKER - he was their only child
He first joined the Army on 1st April, 1942 and was discharged on 2nd March, 1943 & then joined the RAAF on 6th March, 1943
He died in a Flying Battle in France on 4th December, 1944 and is buried in the Choloy War Cemetery in France

His father Leslie Henry FAIRHEAD (6260) served in the Army during WW1 and also served during WW2 (W96292)
