Distinguished Conduct Medal Recommendation
For gallant conduct on the 10th September, 1917 when assisting Major T. E. Lawrence in a raid on the Turkish railway line at MUDOWWARO, whereby about ninety of the enemy were killed and seventy taken prisoner and great destruction wrought.
