Son of John and Louisa Foster, of Winton.
The death occurred suddenly in Townsville of Pte Robert Andrew Foster, aged 24 years, a member of 2/9 Btn. A.I.F.
Deceased, who was born at Winton was the son of Mrs. L. Foster and the late Mr. John Walter Foster. Recently he spent part of his leave in Winton aid then visited his sister (Mrs. Tom Probert, Townsville). Whilst at Winton he had to enter the Winton Hospital suffering from malaria and remained there for a few days. Deceased had served in the Middle East, including Syria, and had also seen service in New Guinea.
