Flight Sergeant Harris Robert Fraser 401791 of 1 Squadron RAF was flying Hawker Typhoon IB R8942 which collided in mid-air with Typhoon DN615 of Flying Officer George Carson Whitmore J/15843 RCAF as they were returning from an operational patrol with the aircraft crashing at Pedhouse Farm near Benenden, Kent
