Alphonsus was born in Krambach, NSW on 15th November, 1906
His parents were Michael Joseph GALLAGHER & Mary Jane LUTHAM who married in Taree, NSW in 1892
He died of injuries to the brain & a fractured skull after being knocked to the ground by a motor vehicle In Chippendale, Sydney on 28th April, 1945 & died at the Royal Price Alfred Hospital in Sydney
At the time he was a soldier at the Liverpool Prisoner of War & Interment Camp in Liverpool, Sydney
