Flight Sergeant Christian Henry Gerner 433206 of Number 4 Radio School / 61 Operational Training Unit RAF was killed when Percival Proctor LZ595 crashed near Oswestry, Shropshire, England - also killed was Captain Mat Doucris 1087 of the Free French (NFI)
