Sergeant Johns 428024 was the pilot of Fairey Battle K9380 and onboard were 3 trainee gunners: LAC Gardiner 432548 / LAC Griffith 432506 / LAC Grant 419616 - all personnel were killed in a mid-air collision with Fairey Battle L5654 during air to air gunnery practice

 

Sergeant Ninness 423173 was the pilot of Fairey Battle L5654 and AC Cyril Albert Venables 122157 was an armament assistant who was onboard acting as the drogue operator
