FLTLT Grosvenor 403472 RAAF of Number 3 Aircraft Depot at Amberley was killed during an aircraft flight test in Kittyhawk N25 C3-543 of the Netherlands East Indies Squadron
He was killed instantly during a carburettor dive test when the aircraft failed structurally at a height of approximately 1000 feet. The port mainplane and empennage came off, the aircraft disintegrated and the remainder of the fuselage struck the ground at a steep angle and burst into flames.
