The details provided are taken from the book "1000 Men at War" the history of the 2nd/16th Infantry Battalion. Alan was born at Laverton WA 16th June 1912, and prior to the war he was a maltster of Perth WA. He served with the 2nd/16th Inf Bn, and had been awarded a Mention In Dispatches. Unfortunately, he was Killed In Action 7th Dec 1942. Rest In Peace. Lest We Forget.
