Flight Sergeant  Hart was killed when Wellington III (BK200-A) crashed on overshoot at Chipping Warden. He was part of 12 OTU.

He was 22 and the son of William Leslie and Anne Hart; grandson of Christina Hart, of Moonee Ponds, Victoria, Australia.
