The details provided are taken from the book "1000 Men at War" the history of the 2nd/16th Infantry Battalion, published 1959, refer to page 240. Arthur was born 7th Aug 1916, and prior to the war he wa a motor driver of Abbotsford NSW. He enlisted in NSW hence the NX regimental number, and later was transferred into the 2nd/16th Inf Bn where he served as a private soldier. Unfortunately, he was Wounded in Action, and died of those wounds 7th July 1945. Rest In Peace. Lest We Forget.
