George Leslie HAY was born in Maryborough , Queensland on 2nd April, 1914 to Sarah Ellen HAY (no father listed)
His parents were listed on the Commonwealth War Graves site as Walter Robert & Mary Ann HAY who are possibly his grandparents
He married Eunice Joan PARRISH in Sydney on 19th February, 1941
Prior to enlisting in the RAAF he had served for 1 year in the 47th Infantry Battalion (Cadet)
