Lieutenant George William Holden RAN, Leading Seaman Robert George Fittall B2438 RAN & Leading Seaman Kenneth George Hedley B1574 RAN were the gun crew on board the Defensively Equipped Merchant Ship (DEMS) SS Zealandic (1928) which was sunk by the German submarine (U-Boat) U-106 about 230 miles west-northwest of Rockall in January 1941 - along with the rest of the crew they were Presumed drowned and are commemorated on the Plymouth Naval Memorial in England
