Lance Eric Gordon HENRY was born in Woollahra, Sydney on 9th November, 1914

His parents were Albert Ernest HENRY & Amy Louisa ELTON who married in Sydney in 1908

He married Laura Elizabeth MERRICK in Muswellbrook,NSW in 1940 - one daughter Ina Roselyn HENRY who died in 1942.

He died on 11th January, 1945 & is buried in the Geelong Eastern Cemetery in Victoria (Plot D, Row A, Grave 12)

Biography

Killed while an instructor in a low-flying training accident when the aircraft hit powerlines in a non-designated low-flying area.

Also killed was the student, Flying Officer John Edward Kitchen.
