The details provided are taken from the book "1000 Men at War" the history of the 2nd/16th Infantry Battalion, published 1959, refer page 77. Thomas was born 26th Sept 1919 at Subiaco. Prior to the war he had served in the 16th Bn Militia and was a building trades apprentice. He enlisted into the AIF and served with the 2nd/16th Inf Bn and promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Unfortunately, he was woundedmin action, and died of those wounds 10th Dec 1942. Rest In Peace. Lest We Forget.
