Biography

Eric Lance HOBDAY was born on 21st March, 1918 in Inverell NSW

His parents were Alfred HOBDAY and Kate Amelia FORD who married in 1901 in Inverell

He enlisted on 17th September 1941 with the Australian Army - he saw service with the Australian Army Service Corp, A.C.M.F. 10th Division Supply Column -Mechanical -  Posting at death - Transport

Eric was involved in a car accident and died of his injuries at Newcastle Hospital  on 18th August, 1942- aged 24 years

He is buried in the Delungra Cemetery, Church of England Plot, grave 113.
