It was with deep and sincere regret that residents of Mt. Magnet received the news of the death of F/Sgt. Bernard Austin (Barney) Hough, R.A.A.F., who was killed
in air operations over Albania. He leaves a wife and two children (Trevor and Kaye), to mourn their loss. Deceased, who was one of a family of five, was previously reported missing. The remains were laid to rest at Cetinje, Montenegro. In civilian life, the late Barney Hough was a keen follower of football and cricket and always earnt praise for his sportsmanship, and he was highly respected among his many friends. His parents reside at 33 Hutt St., Mt. Lawley.
