Thomas Alvin Alexandria HOWARD was born in Carcoar, New South Wales on 26th October, 1914

His parents were Francis William HOWARD & Florence BATES who married in Carcoar in 1886 - his Mothers 2nd marriage was in 1936 to Charles Henry Edward WILKINS

Thomas enlisted in Paddington, Sydney on 12th June, 1940 and embarked from Sydney on 18th February, 1941 on the ship HMT  Queen Mary with the 2nd/19th Australian Infantry Battalion

He died of wounds in Malaya on 20th January, 1942 & is buried in the Kranji War Cemetery - his name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial
