Son of David Gerald and Hum; husband of Grace Evelyn Hum of Narrabeen
Plane was Lockheed Hudson A16-246 which was lost at Milne Bay, Papua New Guinea. It had taken off from Gurney at 7.30 on a solo reconnaisance flight after which there was no further contact. The plane was serviceable and was known to be carrying extra fuel. Following searches found no wreckage
