The details provided are taken from the book "1000 Men at War" the history of the 2nd/16th Infantry Battalion, published 1959, refer to page 242. Frank was born 20th Aug 1909, and prior to the war he was a baker of Narrandera NSW. He enlisted in NSW, hence the NX regimental number, and later was transferred into the 2nd/16th Inf Bn where he served as a private soldier. Unfortunately, he developed an Illness, and died of that condition 8th July 1945. Rest In Peace. Lest We Forget.
