Harry Ferror Merrychurch JENKYN was born in Marrickville in Sydney, NSW on 14th August, 1909
His parents were Henry Merrychurch Hart JENKYN & Eliza Florence May ANDERSON who married in Sydney in 1908
He married Bella MACRAE in Sydney in 1940
Harry was killed in action when Japanese bombers attacked the HMAS Armidale on 1st December, 1942 in Betano Bay, off the South Coast of Portuguese Timor
His name is memorialised at the Australian War Memorial and the Plymouth Naval Memorial
