FSGT Jones 420569 was killed in RAAF Boomerang aircraft A46-108 of Number 83 Squadron which crashed into the sea 5 miles east of Caloundra

Boomerang A46-108 (CA-13 - CAC Constructor's Number 931) was delivered to the RAAF in August 1943 and 83SQN was operating out of Strathpine airfield in southern Queensland
