Australian National Airways (ANA) Douglas C49 VH-CDC operated by Number 4 Communications Unit RAAF crashed into the sea near Taclobar airstrip at Leyte in the Philippines with all on board killed:

Warrant Officer Hayden Selby Rawson 300549 was an ANA pilot and the Captain

Warrant Officer Christopher Marshall Good 417476 was the co-pilot

Warrant-Officer Lloyd George Jones 425645 was the wireless operator
