Son of Michael Joseph and Pearl Kelly of Kedron, QLD

AC Kelly 79621 of 8SFTS sustained a fracture of the seventh cervical vertebra when he dived into shallow water from the hands of two fellow airmen while swimming at Bargara Beach, eight miles from Bundaberg - he was admitted to hospital but died from the injury the next day.
