Son of Samuel Lloyd KING and Margaret Ada KING nee RICHEY, of South Grafton, New South Wales, Australia.

HIS DUTY FEARLESSLY AND NOBLY DONE EVER REMEMBERED

Employed at Mondrook for Mr Sawyer, in dairying.

Survived by his parents, sisters Mrs Arlie James, Mrs Eva Anderson and brothers Arthur and Edgar.

On Monday last, Mrs. S. King, of Albert Street, Taree, received the sad news that her son, Driver Stanley William King, previously reported as prisoner of war, in now reported as having died of illness whilst a prisoner of war on the fall of Singapore.

The late Driver King was a single man, about 23 years of age, and before enlisting was dairying with Mr. Sayer, at Mondrook.

His father is a present working in the Grafton district.  Brothers and sisters are Arthur (Dorrigo district), James (in the Army in Queensland), Eva (Dorrigo) ane Eily (Sydney).  Much sympathy will be felt for the family in their loss.
