Son of Ralph and Eliza Laverick; husband of Winifred Eliza Laverick, of Kyabram, Victoria.

Chap-Capt Ernest George Laverick, missing, believed drowned, had been rector of Kyabram since 1938, and obtained leave of absence to enlist as a chaplain in 1941. He was chaplain at various POW  and military camps in Victoria before being appointed chaplain on the hospital ship Centaur. He served as a YMCA secretary from 1916-18 in the last war. Before appointment to Kyabram he was C of E  minister at Eaglehawk, Tongala, and other churches in the Bendigo diocese. His wife is living in the Kyabram district.
