Private Allan Laverty

Japanese Prisoner of WW2. Captured Feb 15, 1942 at the fall of Singapore. Died at Sea, Sept 12, 1944, in the South-West Pacific area, when an American submarine torpedoed and sunk the "Rakyu Maru", a Japanese transport carrying Australian prisoners from Singapore to Japan.
