John Patrick Bruce LEARMONT was born on 14th January, 1917 in Woollahra, Sydney , NSW
His parents were Robert Bruce LEARMONT and Mary Kathleen FEENEY
He married Gwendolyn STEPHENS in 1942
On 31st January, 1942 he enlisted in Sydney with the Royal Australian Air Force - He was a Leading Aircraftman with the 11 Elementary Flying Training School - Service no. 421343
John died in an air accident in a Wackett training aircraft on 5th September, 1942 at the Warbrecan relief Landing Ground near Deniliquin, NSW - he is buried in Rookwood cemetery in Sydney
