Peter Lee Killed In Action
Yesterday Mrs Harold Lee received word that her elder son Peter had been killed in action in New Guinea on January 19. Peter before his enlistment, was in the employ of Messrs A. McPherson and Son, and was well known here, where he spent the whole of his boyhood. His father (Mr Harold Lee) was, with his three brothers, among the first to enlist in the last war and he returned with the rank of sergeant. On the outbreak of the present war he volunteered for duty, and has been on active service at Victorian stations ever since. The sympathy of their many friends will go out to Mr and Mrs Lee in the loss of a brave son, their solace being that he died bravely in the defence of his country.
