My uncle
Ernest was my mother's brother who was accidentally killed due to another unit driving on the wrong side of the road Tobruk while on duty.

It may well be that Ernest was inspired by his father Ernest Noman Litchfield, a survivor of the Gallipoli campaign, to serve.
