Parents: - Robert John Roof Long and Margaret Jane Williams married 30th March 1891 in Burnley, Victoria, Australia at St. Bartholomew's Church of England.

Fate: - Court of Inquiry held 9th January 1945, established that Lance Corporal Clarence Long died as a result of injuries (chest and abdominal) received on Gordonvale Road, North Queensland when the army truck he was travelling in skidded off the road and overturned down an embankment.
