NX193946 - Private Reginald (Reg) Luker, 57/60 Battalion, of Queenscliff, NSW. Reg Luker worked as a butcher and first attempted to enlist at the age of 16. He enlisted in the Citizen's Military Force (service number N463364) at the age of 18, and enlisted in the 2nd AIF in October 1944. Private Luker was killed in action in Bougainville on 24th June 1945, aged 19 years. Private Luker's father NX55412 Sapper Stanley Luker, 7th Division Engineers, and brothers, NX141626 Private Henry Alfred Luker, 18 Field Regiment, and NX66287 Sapper Stanley Raymond Luker, 17 Training Battalion, also served. All survived and returned to Australia.
