Son of Gilbert Douglas and May Lynch, of Hendra, Queensland, Australia.

Sergeant John Lynch, RAAF, son of Mr and Mrs G. Lynch, Gerier Road, Hendra, is posted missing as the result of air operations over Germany, August 30. He was a member of Western Suburbs Rugby League F.C. played with that side senior grade, 1941, at age of 17 years. Represented (Queensland with schoolboys (Australian Rules), Victoria 1938.
