James Henry Scott LYON was born in Sale in Victoria on 27th June 1922
His parents were James LYON & Muriel Emma SCOTT who married in Victoria in 1921
He married Margaret BRUCE in Newark in England on 23rd November, 1943 - one child James Rowland Scott LYON
He served in the RAAF in both the 11th Operational Training and the No. 9 Squadron & was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC)
