Grantham Stanhope MACLAINE was born in Launceston, Tasmania on 19th February, 1922

His parents were George Salier MACLAINE & Jessie COOPER who married on 26th June 1915 on Long Island in the Bass Strait

He served in both the Army and the Royal Australian Air Force
