Son of Hilmer Alderson and Rhoda Ellen Magnusson of Wentworthville, New South Wales.

12 December  1941 - Disembarked at East Indies

22 February 1942 - Posted as missing

5 August 1943 - Prisoner of War in Java

20 June 1944- Believed to have drowned as a result of the Japanese transport ship on which he was being transported to Burma as a Prisoner of War was torpedoed by an American submarine by near Nagataki
