Wirraway aircraft A20-516 and A20-104 from 24SQN collided in mid-air with both pilots killed: Sergeant Gordon Ronald Campbell 420137 (A20-516) and Sergeant Colin Cameron Martin 420023 (A20-104)

Both passengers survived: Sergeant Douglas James Pearce Hanbury 420747 (A20-516 - discharged from the RAAF in September 1945) & Flight Lieutenant Thomas George Britton 266505 (A20-104 - discharged from the RAAF in December 1945)
