Sergeant Allan Thomas Masson 400928 RAAF and Sergeant Ford 103561 SAAF (South African Air Force) were killed when Harvard N7187 of 20SFTS based at Cranborne stalled after a steep turn and crashed 16 miles from Bakenkobje Farm in Salisbury, Rhodesia during instrument flying practice
