The details provided are taken from the book "1000 Men at War" the history of the 2nd/16th Infantry Battalion, published 1959, refer to page 140. Thomas was born 16th Apr 1910, and prior to the war he was a farm worker of Nannup WA. He served in the 2nd/16th Inf Bn as a private soldier. Unfortunately, he was Killed In Action 2nd Sep 1942.
