Flying Officer John Walter McDonald 414419 was killed when Lysander V9822 crashed at Farges-en-Septaine (Cher), 18kms east of Bourges, France

The aircraft was from Number 161 Squadron RAF which was created to ferry members of the resistance or underground in and out of occupied Europe. On board during this flight were Agent W. Josset & Agent J. Lacroix of the SOE
