Squadron Leader McGoldrick 404846 was killed when Mosquito MK6 HR614 of 618SQN RAF crashed 3 kilometres south-east of Narromine Aerodrome in NSW and caught fire on impact
Also killed was Flight Lieutenant (Nav) Francis James French RAF 127458
Squadron Leader McGoldrick saw operational service in the UK with 618SQN RAF
(Note – McGoldrick and French had accompanied 618SQN when it redeployed from the UK to Narromine. 8OTU had left Narromine four months before 618SQN arrived there).
