Sgt. Navigator McGrath, who was called up for service with the R.A.A.F. in October, 1941, was killed as a result of an aircraft accident at the Firth of Clyde in Scotland on January 19. After a month's training in Australia he went to Canada, where he entered a navigator's school. He received his secondary education of five years at Woodlawn College, where he was a prefect, and also took a prominent part in football and other sport at the college. He was 22 years of age.
