Flight Lieutenant Walter James McKerracher DFM RAAF a member of No. 615 Squadron RAF. Flt Lt McKerracher was awarded the DFM for an attack on Japanese shipping at Akyab, Burma, late in 1942. He was accidentally killed on 13 May 1944 flying with 45 Squadron RAF. He was an accountant from Cottlesoe Western Australia.

His parents were Walter McKERRACHER & Alice Maud Gertrude WHEELER who married in England in 1907
