In Stettin Raid
Pilot Officer Kevin McKnight, ex-South Fremantle footballer, was among the pilots from Bomber Command who raided Stettin on Wednesday night. He is the only son of Mr H. A. McKnight, manager of the Fremantle branch of the Union Bank of Australia, and before enlisting was also in the employ of the Union Bank. Educated at Christian Brothers' College, McKnight was captain of the Achilles football team and then he went to Fremantle to link up with South Fremantle, playing in the ruck throughout the 1941 season. McKnight is 6ft. 1in. tall, weighs 13 stone and is 23.
