Her parents were John McMAHON & Bridget Theresa LANE who married in Boulder, WA in 1909

She enlisted in the Army on 26th October, 1942 as a Nurse with the Australian Army Nursing Service (2/7 Australian General Hospital)

Her last rank was Lieutenant with the 2/2 Australian General Hospital

Bernadine died on 3rd September, 1945 from a Tropical Illness which affects the bone marrow at the Heidelberg Military Hospital in Victoria and is buried in the Springvale War Cemetery
