SERGT. R. D. McWHA MISSING
Official advice has been received that Sergt. R. D. (Doug.) McWha, R.A.A.F. is missing after air operations over Germany on 16th December 1943. Sergt. McWha is the youngest  son of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. McWha, of “Herrieside”, Gore, and is a brother of Mr. J. J. McWha, “Westward Ho”, Longreach. Another brother—Mr. E. H. McWha is owner of “Moorak”, Morven.

McWHA. — In proud & loving memory of our Brother, Brother-in-law, & Uncle, 414816, Flgt.-Sgt. R. D. (Doug.) McWha, missing, presumed dead, after air opera tions over Berlin,  16th Dec, 1943, whilst serving with the Pathfinders. Also the rest of his gallant crew who were lost with him. Sadly missed by Jack, Sheila, & Marilyn.
