Son of Norris Tillesley Foster and Alice Maud Foster nee Dewhurst of England
Husband of Phoebe (Ophelia Tydvil) Foster nee Young of Arthur and Phoebe married in QLD on 9 July 1916. Address at the time of enlistment was River Street, Murwillumbah, NSW
Returned to Australia on 4 July 1919 on HT Norman as nursing staff disembarking on the 20 August 1919 in Sydney, NSW

While liiving in England he served in the Imperial Yeomanry for 3 years before leaving the district
