The details provided are taken from the book "1000 Men at War" the history of the 2nd/16th Infantry Battalion, published 1959, refer to page 76. George was born 20th June 1903 and prior to the war he was a commercial traveller of Nedlands WA. He served with the 2nd/16th Inf Bn, promoted to the rank of Corporal. Unfortunately, he was Killed In Action 19th June 1941. Rest In Peace. Lest We Forget.
